Corie Ralston
Senior Investigator

Corie Ralston is a Staff Scientist and the Director of the Biological Nanostructures Facility at the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

She completed a post-doctorate at Brookhaven National Laboratory in synchrotron techniques to study RNA structure, after which she joined Berkeley Lab as a beamline scientist for the protein crystallography beamlines at the Advanced Light Source (ALS). She is currently developing the method of X-ray footprinting for interrogation of proteins and complexes in solution at the ALS. She is interested in integrating user access to all the national user facilities – both synchrotron X-ray facilities and the nanoscale user facilities – so that users can more easily combine characterization methods such as X-ray diffraction and scattering with electron and fluorescence imaging methods.
